10 Cozy Activities for the rest of Spring
Hi cozy friends! Spring always gives me that soft little nudge to refresh my space and my mindset. The weather sorta warms up, the sun sticks around a little later into the day, I feel like I’m thawing out from my winter hibernation, and suddenly I feel like actually doing things again. Not in a rushed, hustle way, but in a slow, peaceful way!
If you’ve been wanting to try something new for the remainder of spring but don’t want to get overwhelmed, here are 10 cozy activities that are easy, chill, and perfect for the rest of the season.
1. Sitting Outside with a Drink ☀️
This might sound too simple, but hear me out….it is usually just the thing you need. Sitting outside with an iced coffee, a matcha, or a nice cold drink and just being is such a spring vibe. I usually throw on a comfy sweatshirt and shorts, scroll Pinterest, and just let my brain wander. It’s nice to feel the sun, listen to the sounds of nature, and get out of the house without doing anything too extra.
2. Coloring with the Windows Open 🎨🪟
Coloring always feels calming, but when the breeze is coming through the window and everything smells like spring, it just feels different. I’ll put on an audiobook or a podcast and color in one of my cute books for twenty minutes, and it truly feels like a full reset.
There are also so many spring-themed coloring books, and nothing puts you in the mood for a season more than doing some seasonally-inspired art! Here are some of my favorite coloring books - spring ones included!

3. Switching Out Decor or Bedding 🌷🛏️
One of the easiest ways to feel in touch with the seasons changing is to switch up your surroundings a little. I’ll swap out my throw blanket, add a soft floral pillow, or pull out a lighter duvet cover.
It doesn’t have to be a full makeover; just a few small swaps can make everything feel new and exciting again. Looking around and visually seeing the season you’re in can put you in such a hopeful and happy mood.
4. Making a Spring Playlist or TBR List🎧🌸
There’s something really exciting about having a playlist that sonically feels exactly like a season. I’ll go through songs I’ve been loving lately and mix them with older ones that feel like spring—soft, dreamy, and somewhat peppy as we approach summer.
I love doing the same with books I plan to read. My TBR list is never-ending, so to refresh my memory on which books I wanted to prioritize and honor the seasons a bit, I like to create seasonal TBR lists. Bring in those books that take place on vacation or follow a florist who works at a farmers market, and you’ll start getting in the mood of the season very quickly!
5. Making a New Pinterest Board 📌
This is basically my version of scrapbooking or moodboarding. I’ll make a new board for spring with outfit inspo, cozy spaces, garden and plant tips, seasonal dishes, and soft color palettes.
It makes me feel creative and refreshed without needing to leave my cozy spot in the sun or spend money. It’s also a nice little digital ritual to do when you need a mood boost and a dose of inspiration. Here’s my Pinterest if you want to check out my inspo for the season!
6. Playing Cozy Games in the Afternoon 🎮
Something about playing Animal Crossing or Hello Kitty Island Adventure with the daylight still coming in just feels so soft and lovely. I love logging on and doing little in-game errands or decorating my space while sipping a cold drink.
Even 15-30 minutes of playing can make the day feel gentler. Some cozy games also have seasonal events and happenings like Animal Crossing’s cherry blossoms and HKIA’s “Month of Meh.” It feels like taking part in a communal celebration of the season, which can be hard to come by these days!
7. Journaling ✍️
Not deep, emotional check-in journaling - more like making lists, jotting down memories, drafting bucket lists, etc. I’ll write down things like favorite spring songs, seasonal projects or crafts I want to work on, small things I’m excited for, or cute stuff that happened that day.
It’s low-pressure, helps me notice the little moments that are easy to forget, and brings into focus the grand plans for the year that may slip by if we aren’t intentional about them. Journaling is also a great way to romanticize each season. Rather than focus on productivity each day, scribbling out the fun things helps me to zoom out and realize there’s much to look forward to!
8. Wearing a Spring “Uniform” 👕💐
Every spring, I end up reaching for the same colorful tanks, striped button-downs, and flowy skirts on repeat. I like to think of it as my spring uniform!
Putting together a few easy combos you feel good in and that reflect the mood of the season makes getting dressed feel easy and fun. It’s also a great opportunity to try something new. Haven’t tried a short skirt in a while? Now’s the time when the sun’s coming out and there are backyard activities to do!
9. Cleaning Small Bits🧺
I’m not always a fan of doing a full spring cleaning in one go. I often don’t have the time or physical energy. But cleaning out one drawer, decluttering the closet, or wiping down the kitchen cabinets feels doable and satisfying.
I’ll usually put on an audiobook, light a candle, and give myself a 15-minute timer to complete one task. Usually, I end up going beyond the timer to finish what I started, but the idea is to just tackle one thing. Then, you can have your spring cleaning feeling but in manageable bursts!
10. Doing Nothing At All!☁️
I used to think “doing nothing” was a waste of time. As if I were stealing moments of productivity or efficiency from my past self. But now, I think it’s truly a learned and valuable skill set. I’ll sit outside or by a window, leave my phone in another room, and just exist for a while.
It helps clear my mind and provides a moment to practice mindfulness. Suddenly, the thoughts you may have been trying to avoid by staying busy flood in, and the only way through is to process them. It’s a healthy cycle that I deprived myself of for so long in an effort to “stay productive,” when, in reality, doing nothing can be the very thing that maintains your productivity.
Spring is the perfect time to welcome moments of slowness and nothing when the world starts to pick up pace.
Wrapping It Up 🌼
Spring doesn’t have to be 100% about productivity or a big refresh. It can be soft, quiet, and a little bit cozy around the edges.
Whether you try something new or just take more time to enjoy the little things, I hope this season gives you space to feel light and grounded all at once.
